Spanish Omelette

I especially like this recipe because it is simple to make and is very tasty. You have to do it a few times until it is perfect, especially in the beginning because the potato is easy to stay hard or do not cook well, or falling to flip!

Ingredients:
- 3 potatoes (one large and two small, this ones more or less of the size of your fist)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 onion
- Salt

Recipe:
- Wash the potatoes, peel and split them into slices as thin as possible.
If you can not split them very thin with a knife, you can split them with the potato peeler, they will remain in strips instead of round, but once the tortilla is made, is not noticeable.
- Split the onion into stripes.
- Heat enough oil in the pan (a finger or so tall) and place over low heat fry the potatoes and the onion. It is better to take a little longer, but we make sure that will not burn or stick to the pan. Remove from time to time.
- Take a little salt to the potatoes.
- Once the potatoes and the onion are cooked, drain with a slotted spoon and throw them in a colander to remove the maximum oil you can and reserve.
- Beat in the two eggs in a bowl, add the potatoes and the onion and return to take another little salt. Stir well until the egg, potato and onion join.
- Heat in a pan a little oil (I often take advantage of the one I used to do the potatoes, you can strain the rest in a colander and save to use again).
- Pour the contents of the bowl into the pan and, using a slotted spoon, try to smooth the top surface and the sides of the Spanish omelette.
- Stir the pan from time to time so that the omelette does not stick.
- Put a plate over the pan (which has larger diameter) and quickly rotate the pan to move the omelette to the plate. Slip it gently back to the pan on the other side and repeat.

*Tip: the time that you leave the Spanish omelette in the pan depends on your taste, if you prefer uncook you must leave soon, and if you like very cooked, leave it longer, but be careful the ingredients do not burn!

Noodles with Vegetables

This recipe is great for all those who find difficult to eat some vegetables, is healthy and deceive the palate with the flavor of soy sauce.

Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 5.6 ounces of noodles or Chinese noodles
- 2 carrots
- 1 elongated green pepper
- 1/2 onion
- 1/2 red bell pepper
- Soy sauce

If you want, you can add these vegetables or another different, is a very versatile dish that can be customized as you like, I often take advantage of what I have left to do other dishes, like mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant ...

Recipe:
- Boil the noodles in a pot with water and once boiled, drain them.
- Cut all the vegetables into strips and fry lightly in a pan with oil until they are golden.
- Then put a dash of soy sauce over the vegetables and add quickly the drained noodles. You must do this step fast, because if not, the soy sauce can evaporate, so it is convenient to have them ready near the pan with the vegetables.
- Stir well until everything is mixed and the noodles have absorbed the color of soy sauce.

*Tip: Remember it is not necessary to include salt in this recipe, because soy sauce is salty.

I'm a Spanish girl that started writing this blog of cooking recipes very easy to encouraged you to do more original dishes, because eating always the same is very boring!

It is focused to people who have recently become independent (like me) and that survive but do not know doing dishes as elaborate as those of their mums. I was like them until i became independent and i started to try new recipes and even create my own, so my family began to call me first cook, that's why i have call the blog like this.

I am not a professional cook, nor my recipes are so elaborate, but I think they will be helpful for people who find themselves in the same situation, leaving their parents' house, and cooking every day gets a bit boring, as not having much experience, there is not much variety.

I will upload easy and quick recipes I have tried, I hope you like them and you may become a great first cooks :-)
